We believe research must not remain confined to academia but act as a driver of transformation. Following a matrix structure, SDA Bocconi’s research is organized into Knowledge Platforms, which address strategic and cross-cutting themes, and Ecosystems, which focus on specific sectors.

SDA Bocconi’s Knowledge Platforms are research structures that address strategic and cross-cutting issues relevant to businesses and institutions. Within them, models, tools, and approaches are developed to interpret and manage major ongoing transformations.
Ecosystems focus on specific sectors to concretely apply the knowledge developed at a cross-cutting level. Through collaboration with industry stakeholders, the ecosystems generate evidence, analyses, and solutions capable of responding to real needs.
