Sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion
Knowledge, responsibility and respect becoming impact
Sustainability, in its environmental (E), social (S) and governance (G) dimensions, is an integral part of SDA Bocconi. Since our founding in 1971, we have believed that a school of management should be an example and driver of sustainable transformation, starting with its own practices.
Every day we put training and research in the service of making a positive, concrete and lasting impact on people, organizations and communities.
We promote dialogue between academia, business, institutions and civil society, with the aim of contributing to cultural and organizational change that makes the future more equitable, inclusive and sustainable for all people.
esG: a governance of sustainability
We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all people and building an inclusive environment in which each and every person receives fair treatment regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, or socioeconomic background.
We work to attract and develop talent from an inclusive perspective so that our faculty and staff reflect the diversity and richness of our student community.
Strengthening Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a key objective of the School's 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, and is being pursued with an approach that goes beyond regulatory obligations to generate real and lasting impact.
As of 2021, sustainability governance is entrusted to the Associate Dean for Sustainability, Francesco Perrini, with delegated authority also on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: a choice that testifies to the strategic centrality of these issues for SDA Bocconi.
Defining and guiding our efforts is the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy, which guides our actions with clear and shared principles.

eSg: Diversity, equity and inclusion
SDA Bocconi actively promotes a culture in which every person can feel welcomed, respected and valued. We believe that diversity – in all its forms – is an engine of innovation, and that equity and inclusion are fundamental conditions for creating just learning and working environments.
We recognize the challenges that still permeate educational and professional contexts today. We therefore provide a range of services to support the mental, physical and social well-being of our student community, staff and faculty.
Through initiatives, dedicated policies and a daily commitment, we work to break down barriers, counter stereotypes and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Esg: putting sustainability into practice
Sustainability is a shared responsibility and a strategic lever for generating value over time. At SDA Bocconi we apply it in a concrete and integrated way, starting from our daily choices to our research, teaching and training programs.
We work to reduce our environmental impact, train conscious leaders and promote a culture of responsible innovation.
From energy-efficient campus designs to academic initiatives on environmental, social and governance issues, our commitment translates into actions and knowledge to address the challenges of the present and build a more sustainable future.
